There was a beautiful stream running through the hotel, from the lake and the mountains with trout and ducks. One morning we went for a walk and fed the ducks.

Student Exchange Ladies

Giulia and Michela were the ones responsible for sending papa to the US for a year when he was 16. They had a lot of stories to tell me about what he was really like back then (I've filed away for future use), and who knows, if they hadn't sent him the first time around, he may never have come back, and I may not be here. If you look closely to the right, above Michela's head, you'll see two pictures of yours truly back there, and they didn't even know we were coming, so I know it wasn't staged (for all you cynics...)

Mi sono perso la bellissima cerimonia perche' stavo dormendo, ma mi sono svegliato in tempo per raggiungere tutti alla festa.

I saw my first pigs and cows. The wedding was at an agriturismo, a beautiful property with a working farm where they also made a lot of the foods that we ate at the wedding... sorry piggies
