Hammock Time

So, I had to try out the hammock on my own, and have to admit, it's pretty sweet

Lunch al fresco and then Nonno naps

So, there was a delicious lunch outside...

After which, nonno decided to take a little nap (he's also jetlagged since they only got back from Arizona and NY yesterday)

I couldn't resist waking him up. He didn't seem to mind...

Il Nonno fa le acciughe - Nonno's famous anchovies

While we were shopping, Nonno visited his favourite fish monger in the market to get some fresh anchovies, so that he could make his famously delicious dish.

This is what they look like after he's cleaned and washed them for over 45 minutes, and then he salts them.

then, he adds freshly squeezed lemon juice...

Then, oregano and olive oil

And, a day later, we have lunch

delicious!!!

Al mercato

This morning, we visited an open air market near our house, where we bought loads of fresh fruits, vegetables, cheese, meats and fish.

I think I can take him...
